Did we leave off a fun bar or venue that allows the under 21 crowd? Let us know in the comments!
What about some of the new bars? Like Jason Aldean’s, Ole Red, 32 bridge. I am planning a bachelorette party and my cousin will be a month shy of 21. We plan on doing broadway during the day so she has a chance to get into a majority of the bars
Hey Erin! We’ve reached out to some of the newer spots on Broadway! You’ll probably be able to get into most places, especially if it’s early or if they lean towards food offerings. Ole Red is open to all ages until 9pm nightly. We’ll continue to update this list as we hear back from establishments! Thanks for reaching out!
What about Tootsies?
Thank you for this super helpful list! We’ve been to Nashville 6 times, but our upcoming trip will be the first with kids in tow. So happy to hear we can still hit the honky Tonks!
I’m planning my 21st birthday trip to Nashville, but haven’t been able to find any information on whether or not I can get in to 21+ bars at midnight the day of my birthday?
We just visited Nashville in April 2021 and we were able to visit the Rooftop of Kid Rock’s with our teens on a Monday. I don’t know if it’s because it was slow, a weekday or the rooftop but we all had a great time.
planning a surprise 75th birthday gathering of seven people January 3-6 2022 any suggestions?
Okay, so my 13 and 14-year-old daughters can go into Ole Red, 32 Bridge, Aldean’s, and FGL’s with me and my Husband until 9 and 10 pm all week if we went on a trip but after that, we would have to send them somewhere else if Me and my husband want to stay a little longer or do something else do you think it will be reasonable to send them in those crowded streets by their selves if they have proper protection such as Pepper Spray and such I would love to know from a parent I am a good mom I promise I won’t let them go off on their own often but they have been begging me to walk down the roads and go in the stores alone because they think they are old enough but I don’t think they are but I am kinda considering giving them money and pepper spray and letting them go if they need me they can always call me but should I?
My daughter is turning 18 in February and she has been dying to experience Nashville and live music. What places should we visit and where should we stay?
We want to take a trip with our 18 year old son. Can he get into bars WITH us (his parents) present?
If it’s primarily a bar (such as many of the places on Broadway, Midtown, and East Nashville), every person must be 21 or older regardless if a parent is present. This guide helps narrow down which places allow all ages at some point during the day.
I want to plan a trip to Nashville for my birthday in may and I don’t know what fun places I can go to any advice?
I was wondering if Bucanas is 18+ and up
Any info on Winner’s Whiskey Jam? They’re kind of a cross between a music venue and a bar, but they don’t say on their website, nor do they respond to voicemail, text or email.
We have had good luck at Kid Rock’s. We go for dinner and are allowed to stay. Stayed as late as 11pm.
What about the comedy clubs?
Is Winners on broadway all ages?
Are there any gay clubs in Nashville, Clarksville, Murfreesboro, etc. that have all ages nights? My 16 year old son is gay and is quite alone in this rural community outside of Nashville.
Headed to Nashville next weekend and my 17 year old wants to come. How do they know to kick you out??
Many venues will have staff walk around and check IDs, if they allow all ages at a certain time. Venues also card at the door and may mark your hands or give you a wristband.
I saw a comment asking if it sounded like a good idea to let her teen girls walk Broadway by themselves and my answer is yes if they’re very self aware are alert of their surroundings. I’ve been hanging out downtown since I was in middle school, even walked from the bus station to my dads job everyday after school. Pepper spray is only useful if they know who to spray and when. I’ve had strange encounters downtown but I’ve never been subject to any dangerous situations. 🙂
Winners is not open those under 18. Tried to take our kids for an early dinner at 4:30 to beat crowds, and were turned away.
What if our 18 year old is with her parents. Can she be with us when the 21+ is in effect? She would not be drinking
Sue, if the venue is 21+ (or 21+ starting at a certain time), everyone in the venue must be 21 or older. It doesn’t matter if you’re 18 and accompanied by a parent or someone 21 or older. This rule applies primarily at the honky-tonks on Broadway and near Broadway.
Was surprised to not find Redneck Riviera or Kid Rock’s on this list. Why? Any other 18+ dance places? Just want to be able to go somewhere with my 19 year old where we can two step and line dance without having to buy a ticket to a concert or go to a seedy dive bar. Looking for fun, “walk in and enjoy the dance floor” experience.
So if you go to the places that are 21+ after a certain time before that time hits do they walk around and kick you out? Like if it’s 21+ at 8pm and I’m there with my bachelorette group (my younger sister is 18 and will be the only one under 21) at 6 and we just stay there for a while will they go and just kick her out?
Hi Macy, most places have a system for identify people under 21 at the curfew. Some mark your hands when you enter or walk around and card everyone again. So, yes, plan on your sister being kicked out at some point. There are plenty of places to enjoy that aren’t as strict though.
Sorry if this sounds redundant but my 19 year old daughters will be visiting Nashville this weekend and are dying to go out line dancing – is there anywhere they can go Sat evening?
Thinking about traveling to Tennesee with 18 yr old. He would like to experience live music. What time do bars that host live music begin playing?
The Green Light is all ages all the time.
Can you give me a list of places an 18+can go on broadway accompanied by a parent
Hi Jean, the Broadway bars are usually either all ages (including ages 18-20) or 21+. Even if you are the parent/guardian accompanying someone under 21, they are usually not allowed to enter the bars that are 21+ after a certain time.
Do you have to be 21+ to go to Sonny’s Patio Pub or Von Elrod’s? Are there certain hours for 21+?
Hi Sam! Von Elrod’s is all ages all the time expect for Thursday nights after 9:00pm then it is 21 and over only. Sonny’s Patio Pub and Refuge is all ages all the time!
CAN YOU GET INTO KID ROCKS BAR IF YOUR UNDER 21?
JBJ’S NASHVILLE is all ages from 10am-6pm.
Hi! Thank you for the update! JBJ’s Nashville has been added.
Best,
