Postino WineCafé officially opens on Friday, November 1, 2024, in the 12 South neighborhood. This all-day restaurant and wine bar is situated in the space previously occupied by Taqueria del Sol. Nashville marks the first Tennessee location for the wine bar with other outposts in Arizona, California, Georgia, North Carolina, and Texas. Guests can expect an award-winning wine program and a seasonal food menu featuring shareable bites, charcuterie boards, from-scratch soups, fresh salads, and panini sandwiches. Giving back to the communities in which it operates is a cornerstone of the Postino brand. Postino’s Nashville location has partnered with The Store, a Nashville nonprofit that fights food insecurity in Middle Tennessee, to donate $1 from each Bruschetta Board purchased. The Interior
Postino’s locations are known for their vintage-inspired and funky yet sophisticated spaces. The interior was thoughtfully designed to reflect the local community by embracing the history of the building which was once the South Eastern Radio and Television Institute. Paying homage to its past, there’s an art wall of 250 vintage TVs along with radios spanning over 400 square feet. The interior also includes pieces sourced from local businesses including East Nashville Antiques, Dashwood Vintage, and Modern Redux.
The Exterior
The 3,780-square-foot restaurant neighbors businesses such as Faherty, Stag Provisions, 12 South Taproom, and Fonda Nashville. There are 80 outdoor seats located on their side patio, which makes for the perfect happy hour, date night, or celebratory dinner setting. Parking options include a paid parking lot behind the establishment as well as free street parking within the area.
The Menu
Postino is famous for it’s award-winning wine program, which features a rotating selection of boutique wines from all over the world. The beverage menu also includes local Tennessee beers and classic cocktails. The food menu changes seasonally, but always includes delicious bruschetta, charcuterie boards, soups, salads, and sandwiches. Some menu standouts include the Brussels Sprouts Salad (kale, brussels sprout, manchego, spicy marcona almond, bacon, dried cherry, lemon manchego dressing), Nine Iron Panini (smoked bacon, roasted chicken, fresh stracciatella, mixed greens, tomato, dijonnaise), and The Greek Hummus Board (hummus topped with chopped cucumber, pickled onion, crushed tomato, crumbled feta, fresh herbs, olive oil drizzle served with grilled ciabatta and pita).
